Just a little update… we had an ultrasound and visit with the doctor today. Everything went well, the sonographer took measurements of the heart, and they all looked good. She also did some other facial measurements and extremeties, which we have some new pics we’ll hopefully have posted shortly. Even better, the lining of my cervix still is measuring close to 4 which is great. We then talked with the doctor for a bit, and he is so assuring and helpful in answering all of our questions. He did officially tell me to start preparing not to work, everything is good, we want to keep it that way, so being off my feet more and more is best.
I wanted to also thank everyone that has been so gracious this week, and the girls at Midtown a couple of weeks ago, in helping provide for our babies. All of the gifts, prayers, and everything has been a blessing that we can’t \thank you guys enough for. Thank You!

We got a cow today! Crazy I know, but awesome. Well this cow does not eat or moo, but it has been butchered and delivered to us in a new freezer. Today Courtney’s uncle Bill Lowe brought down a freezer (packed with meat and other food) that his Sunday school class (Ft. Inn Presbyterian) gave us. The timing was perfect.
Just the other day I was thinking a lot about how to provide for my upcoming family. Honestly it feels so daunting and I have a hard time making sense of it all. Just the other night at life group I was telling the guys about my fears and concerns. Its twofold, I know God will take care of us (he always has), but then again it seems so much bigger and it is just harder to believe and not worry. Here is the truth: Matthew 6:25-34 “Do not be worried…but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” As one of my life group guys told me, God will provide and he has given you a church family that will do whatever it takes to support you (like Acts 2).
As you can also see from the previous post, people have been so overly generous and the overwhelming truth is that we are not alone. I am thankful to have great family, friends, and church support. You guys are awesome and I thank my God for you.

As I posted before, we traveled to Fountain Inn this weekend, and everything was wondeful, to recap…
- Friday on the way down, Allen and I talked about what a blessing it was that we were even getting to make the trip, we weren’t sure if I would be able to, but I felt great!
- I got a hair cut, which may not happen for a while
- Ate yummy mashed potatoes from a place called Sam’s, the woman serving us was hillarious when she realized we were having six babies, she gave me like triple the servings of mashed potatoes!
- Allen went to rehersal dinner for our friend Elise Timanus Friday night, and got to catch up with people we hadn’t seen.
- Saturday, Mom, Eah (allen’s mom),and I headed to Easley,SC for a shower with my friends from college. This was wonderful, I haven’t seen so many of them in such a long time. A lot of the girls brought their babies which was adorable, and we just really enjoyed all catching up!
- Saturday night, we all went to Elise’s wedding which was beautiful, and again great to see so many people we haven’t seen in a while.
- Sunday, well we went back to Sam’s (the restaurant from Friday night) and yes, I got mashed potatoes again!
- Sunday afternoon, it was time for the Fountain Inn Shower. I really don’t know how to put into words how awesome, crazy, amazing this was. One, it was great to get to talk to people I may not get to see for a while, unless they come to Columbia (you guys better!) Two, we were completely “showered” with so much wonderful stuff, and three, I loved watching Allen get excited about stuff. Thank you, thank you for all that so many of you did in Fountain Inn for us, we have such wondeful family and friends.
- To give you an idea, we got 3 of our carseats, lots of clothes, some swings, boppies, a glider chair, cute little hats for the babies, monkey piggy banks, gift cards, burp clothes, diapers, handmade blankets, and so so much more.
- And then we drove back to Columbia with one car load and left a lot at my mom’s house, she has been wondeful to let us store so much there.
Hopefully we will have some pictures and maybe videos to post this week! By the way…we have names picked out…
Baby A- Will, Baby B- Rob, Baby C- Addy, Baby D- Luke, Baby E- West, and Baby F- Lucy, we never thought we would pick out this many names at one time!

Check out our latest ultrasound photos located on the photos link. If you look closely you can tell the boys from the girls. My mom also tagged them to help you know which is which. A and B are identical boys, C is a girl, D and E are boys, and F is a girl.

We are having 4 boys and two of them are the identical twins and 2 girls!! We are super excited, and everybody looks healthy, all the measurements were good. Most of the babies are measuring a few days ahead of what I am actually, so that is awesome! I have gained 5 1/2 pounds since last thursday, and my tummy measures 30 weeks, whooo!!!!
We apologize if you tried to comment and weren’t able. I just made some changes and the comments should work now.

I just had a chance after lunch today to glance at our blog, and I was so glad Allen had posted about his freaking out about things to you guys. I thought I would add a little of what has been going through my mind. It is amazing how God completely takes care of us; our needs, our fears, our worries, everything! And boy does my mind go crazy! As Allen has gotten stressed about things that we will have going on in our house, different things we will need for the babies, and all of that, I have been stressed with the changes going on in my body (and really fast by the way!) and realizing I am able to have less and less control over what is going on and will continue to. And as most of you know I usually don’t like to stop, and well that is not an option at this point! I have been extremely blessed to have Allen taking care of me constantly, making me eat a ton (3000+ calories a day), making sure I am comfortable, and not letting me do too much. So I guess one of us has been more stressed with the things right now and the other about things coming…but all to say, we know so many people are praying and we are going to be taken cared of for sure.
By the way…we for sure have the ultrasound on Friday, bright and early at 7:30am and will probably be there a while. We will find out the sex of the babies and also they will measure the anatomy (which they said is 60 pictures for every baby, you do the math!!!! We will update soon.

This weekend was overwhelming for me to say the least. It actually started two weekends ago when we purchased two used triplet strollers for $100. Great deal! The gentleman whom we bought them from delivered them to our house and when I brought them inside, the freak out began. It felt like one stroller by itself took up my whole house. Where are we going to put all this stuff? This weekend, we spent the better part of Saturday cleaning out and rearranging our house to make room for the babies. Courtney’s mom, and uncles came to help and we accomplished a lot. The part that freaked me out the most is we still dont have enough room. Where are we going to put all the baby stuff, the babies and the needed volunteers? It is too much for me to comprehend.

In the midst of my anxiety on Monday morning, God spoke truth into my life. I was about to walk out the door to head to work when I was struck with the fact that we have a long way before these babies are born. So much could happen to them. At that moment, all I knew to do was to cry and ask Jesus to work. Only He can form and develop them and protect them. Life came into focus for me. I can not do this! I need Jesus. I am desperate for him to work in my life and my family.

Our doctors appointment went well on Thursday. Dr. Gregg, did a brief ultrasound, and wow the babies are growing quite rapidly! It is kind of funny, baby F, is the highest positioned baby, and is really kind of off by itself, so he had to move around the little ultrasound thing to find it. My uterus measured 30 weeks, so I am measuring double, today I am 16 weeks. We will hopefully be finding out the end of this week what everyone is, which is super exciting… kind of funny, they have to reserve about 5 hours to do this ultrasound for the anatomy, so to get it scheduled is a little bit of a task! I will also start taking a weekly shot this week to help with preterm labor. I have gained about 15 lbs…and counting, but overall I had a good report. I will be posting again soon on reflections from this weekend. We got a lot of things cleaned out and organized at the house to get ready for the babies. My mom was gracious enough to let us store things at her house. I also had my first shower, yippeeee!!!! Lots of fun!!!
