The Tipping Family

Redefining Normal

new day.

Courtney and I talked yesterday about how today would be a whole new day. A whole new day of sadness and mourning…but a whole new day of mercies and God’s love and peace, too.

I just talked to Ginger, Courtney’s mom, and Allen and Court are doing well. They were moved to a much smaller room and are trying to see if they should give her another unit of blood (she already got one last night). Hopefully by mid-week, the Tipping’s will be home.

Pray for Courtney’s body to heal quickly. Pray for Allen and Courtney to hurt over the loss of their 6 babies in the healthiest way, but to also lean on God’s goodness and His peace… they can’t get it from anyone else. Pray for the grandparents of those six, sweet babies. Pray for Wimberly and Rebecca, Allen’s sisters. Pray for God to get all of the glory, in every chapter of this story.

Thank you for all you have done. As of right now, if you are bringing food through this week, please do so through Wednesday. Starting Thursday @ lunch, we will not need food anymore. Thank you for your help, though. They have really appreciated it.

    Hey Courtney and Allen,
My name is Kayla, I am a student at CIU. I learned about your family last night at Midtown. Even though I do not know ya’ll personally, I feel very connected to your story, because of our shared love for Jesus, because I also have PCOS, and because my mom does ultrasound at Lexington Women’s Care. My heart has been breaking for you and your family. I pray that God will cover you in his peace and love and that your suffering will be for His glory and fame. I pray that you will grieve properly and cling to the Lord in your bereavement. I hope there is something else I can do for you in the future, and I will continue to pray for you both.
    In His love,
    Kayla

My heart is broken for you and many prayers are being sent upward for you and all who love you and your precious babies. I have no words, but just to say I will offer prayers on your behalf and that I will also pray for perfect healing for Courtney’s body.

  26. Courtney and Allen,
I have followed your journey through mutual friends and I cannot express how sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful babies. I can understand the deep pain you feel and the empty ache of your arms. I have been there too. My little girl is in Heaven too. She died at 39 weeks. Even though it has been almost 4 years, I still miss her every moment and wonder what she would have been like. I know I will have such a reunion when I see her again in Heaven. I have cried with you because I know how it feels to lose a child, every day gets a little easier but you have to find a new normal it will never be the same. My family is praying for you. Take it minute by minute in these first few weeks do what it takes to survive. God bless you and your family.

I praise God for your strength and amazing faith in Him. It is a blessing to know that faith so strong exists, and I feel that God is already working in your situation because I have been encouraged by your faith (it is amazing just to imagine who else has been touched). You don’t know me, but know that I, as your sister in Christ, am hurting with you and pray not only that you both will be comforted, but also that our God will be glorified through your story.
    in Him,
    Meredith

  36. Y’all don’t know me, but I want for y’all to know that y’all have both been on my mind since I left church last night. There’s never anything to say that makes everything better after a tragedy like this hits, but one particular passage of scripture holds such truth for me in difficult times.

“Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
By whom we have access by faith into his grace wherein we
stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
    And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in out hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.”

    Romans 5:1-5

May God and his Holy Spirit be with you and your family.

  37. I love you guys.

  38. Our heart felt thoughts and prayers are with you both. Hope that you can find the rest and peace that you need to heal and that your love for our Lord and Savior will help get you through. Much love and many prayers.

  39. you are constantly in my prayers.

i love you both so much.

  42. We are friends of Hunter and David Kite. We have been praying for you since we heard your story last week and we will continue to. I love this reminder of the plan God has:
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

i don’t know you, but i am weeping for you both, for your entire families. i have lost two babies and know the sadness, doubt and even anger that come along with it. i can tell you that it is ok to feel all of those things. God wants to hear them all. i pray that you will trust him through this healing process and not give up hope. i am now 16 weeks pregnant and having to trust him every step of the way to keep my sanity. i pray that you are constantly aware of his love and that he has a plan even when it doesn’t make sense to us. God bless you.

    Courtney and Allen,
We have been following your blog for the las few weeks, and we just heard the tragic news today about the loss of your babies. We are so sorry to hear about this and we are heartbroken for you. We know too well how difficult it is to deal with the death of a child, and we can only imagine all of the emotions that you are feeling right now. We can promise you though that in time, and through God’s help and guidance, there will be bright, happy days again one day. Right now though, rest and take time for your grieving. Know what a wonderful place your babies are in right now, and know that they’re with a lot of really special people. We will continue to pray for you and your families, that God hold you close forever. God Bless all of you.

My daughter, Katie Brewer, has kept me posted throughout this difficult journey. Your family has been in my family prayers. I can not imagine the heart break, but I know God’s love will sustain you. I lost a baby boy over 20 years years ago at 32 weeks. I remember when I was at my lowest and praying over my pain, I felt God’s arm wrap around me. 20 years later, that over whelming love still sustains me. The pain from that loss and God’s grace he unleashed on that night has gotten me through the most difficult journeys in my life. I know that He will be faithful to you. God bless you all. You are loved more than you can imagine.

    Lisa

Good luck and blessings to the both of you.

  47. Courtney and Allen,
I pray for you,cry for you and love you. My daughter started going to Midtown a few months ago and she loves it. She always wants me to listen to the sermons on-line. She has been so touched by your faith and strength in the Lord durning this time. I was in your place 20 years ago when I lost a baby boy, David. I was comforted by others that had gone through the same loss. One of the chapters that helped me was Psalm 46.
“…Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad in the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.” Courtney, I pray that your body will heal quickly and that you know that you are a mom of six beautiful babies in heaven. The Son will come out tomorrow. Love in Christ, Susan

  48. My heart is so sad for you all….I am praying often and hard for you all.

I pray your hearts heal quickly. We love you all so much.

  53.
    Emily Rogers

Courtney and Allen, I am so sorry for your loss. We tried for years to get pregnant and couldn’t understand why someone who loved children so much should remain childless. As you know,God had his own plans for us. If I had gotten pregnant we would never have had the two beautiful and wonderful daughters, Jennifer and Katherine, that God chose to bless us with. God definitely has his own plans for your lives. We will keep you in our prayers. We love you!

This morning while sifting through a bunch of emotions, questioning why this happened, and praying for you and Allen, the Lord blasted a song over my IPOD from Chris Rice that really spoke to me. “Blessed is the heart that gets broken, but keeps holding on, holding on for a better day. That’s what it means to live by faith.” It reassured me because I know your faith is strong and will get you through this most difficult time in your lives. I love you both and will continue to be a support system for you in any way.
    love, wendy

You don’t really know me but I have heard your story and it is heart warming, I cannot say I have felt your pain, but your strenght in God and the love you share will lead you thru this trying time. God bless you and your 6 angels that are now in heaven with our saviour. Not many people can say they have their guardian angels to watch over them everyday until they get a chance to meet again. God bless your family we are still praying for you here in Fountain Inn, SC.

Allen and Courtney, my heart is broken for you. Just know that there are so many people praying for you and asking God to help you through this pain and heartache.

Ginger, you are in my heart.

  64. We haven’t met but I have felt your pain in my prayers for you. I only ask God’s Peace to feel heavier than your loss right now. Jesus never quits when tough times come. May He walk your family through this path with His Endless Comfort.

  65. Today as I was working, cutting grass and getting soaked in the rain, all I could think about was to pray for you, that the Lord would wrap his love around you. Then, I was brought to pray, “Lord, give me faith like you have given them faith.” Thank you so much for being an example of Servants of God, your example has brought me closer to Him. I am grateful to know such awesome people of faith.

  66. Courtney and Allen,

I just wanted to let you know that the way you love and trust the Lord make me want to love and trust Him better.

I don’t really know what all I should say and at this point I feel like sometimes words just aren’t enough but basically, I want to be more like you. I want to lean on the Lord like you do. I want to claim the victory and freedom of the Cross like you do.

I love you both and I’m constantly praying for you.

    -Tsilavo

“…for you received the word in much affliction, WITH THE JOY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, so that you became and example to all the believers”

  69. It is amazing that there are new mercies for each morning. We don’t have to worry about saving any – they are already there.

  70. i read about Courtney and her family on Sara Alexander’s blog. i wanted to let you know that i’m praying for all involved, and am thankful to see that believers know the Lord always has a plan and that His will for Courtney, her husband, and their family is beautiful.

You both mean so much to Ginny and me. We pray for you continually. Our Father has made the two of you one pillar near the center of our family. We gather near you, knowing that you are one of the strongest points in the structure. I’m so sorry that you have been shaken so hard so fast. I still will rush to stand near you though because I see Jesus standing at your side and I have confidence that He wants to display His strength through the standing of this pillar. It’s an honor to know you and it’s an honor to be a part of the same family as two vessels being used so greatly by our King. We love you very much.
