The Tipping Family

Redefining Normal

Holy Cow!

We got a cow today! Crazy I know, but awesome. Well this cow does not eat or moo, but it has been butchered and delivered to us in a new freezer.  Today Courtney’s uncle Bill Lowe brought down a freezer (packed with meat and other food) that his Sunday school class (Ft. Inn Presbyterian) gave us. The timing was perfect.

Just the other day I was thinking a lot about how to provide for my upcoming family. Honestly it feels so daunting and I have a hard time making sense of it all. Just the other night at life group I was telling the guys about my fears and concerns. Its twofold, I know God will take care of us (he always has), but then again it seems so much bigger and it is just harder to believe and not worry. Here is the truth: Matthew 6:25-34 “Do not be worried…but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” As one of my life group guys told me, God will provide and he has given you a church family that will do whatever it takes to support you (like Acts 2).

As you can also see from the previous post, people have been so overly generous and the overwhelming truth is that we are not alone. I am thankful to have great family, friends, and church support. You guys are awesome and I thank my God for you.

Hi guys! I just wanted to tell you what a small world it is, and how God works (as if you didn’t know)! I too am a graduate of Hillcrest and are familar with both of you. After Hillcrest I went to Greenville Tech, where I became a Nurse. Elizabeth Tipping was one of my favorite instructors by far. After finishing school, I moved to Columbia where I worked in the NICU at Palmetto Richland (where I hear you will be having your babies). I am now back in Greenville working in the NICU. I wanted to let you know there are more people than you know praying for you. I also wanted to tell you that God loves the children He creates. I believe that He selects the people that will take care of the babies in the NICU-you will be in good hands. My prayers are with you both.
PS-I’ve already told everyone at Richland that these are very special babies :)
